We recommend that parents bring their children for regular dental check-ups from when the first teeth start coming through. Guidelines advise at least one dental visit by the age of 2. These early visits will familiarize children with the dental practice, allowing them to become comfortable with the dentist looking at their teeth. If your child has experienced an injury to their teeth or mouth, you should book an appointment to see the dentist as soon as possible.
At your child’s appointment, we will examine their teeth and gums for any problems. We may apply a fluoride varnish. This strengthens the tooth enamel, helping to make teeth more resistant to decay. We will also give advice on diet and sugars and oral hygiene to help keep your child’s teeth healthy for life.
We also have a close relationship with local orthodontic practices and refer patients at the appropriate times.
